On Saturday, on the 13th day of Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, the actor’s family released a statement. On June 14, SSR ended his life by hanging himself. His funeral took place on June 15 and his family immersed his ashes in Holy River Ganges at his hometown Patna, Bihar. In their note, his family bid a final goodbye to their beloved Gulshan. They stated that his family will turn his childhood home in Rajiv Nagar, Patna into a memorial where his personal memorabilia and belongings will be placed for fans and admirers.

Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey has taken to social media to react to his family’s statement. The actor said that he hopes that his family’s statement may ‘lay to rest any concerns or rumours about his social media accounts.’ He Tweeted, “This statement from @itsSSR’s family lays to rest any concerns or rumours about his social media accounts. I hope now his grief and anger stricken fans will find the peace and quiet that this tragedy deserves.”

Earlier, Ranvir Shorey had taken to Twitter to tell his followers a story about an award show. In his Tweet he had written, “A star kid is co-hosting the show. They announce the next category - Best Actor. The nominees are played out, and the star kid is one of the nominees. Surprise-surprise! To present the award, the hosts invite two esteemed film personalities, who happen to be the star kid’s parents. What a sweet coincidence! The presenters open the envelope and announce the winner to be - drumroll please! - the star kid, of course! What a Kodak family moment!”

“The star kid walks from the host’s dias to accept the award and makes a short thank you speech and heads back to hosting the rest of the show like business as usual. This is how mainstream Bollywood is a family. The End,” read his tweets.
